Status Updates From The Incredible Journey

I feel like this might be a DNF. Despite it being short, I just feel no connection to this.

Nearly four weeks have passed by the time John returns and everyone realizes the animals are missing and attempting to walk home.

I will take zero criticism, we watched Homeward Bound tonight (fave childhood movie) and just realized it’s based on a book. Needed a pallet cleanser and this is delivering that.

200 miles now behind them. They run into farmer James and his wife Neil.
She thought the Old Dog was homely. She guessed him to be around 11 years old. James took care of Luath removing the quills. For safety, they were locked into the barn but thankfully Tao was able to free them to continue their journey into the mountains where Bodger is ever growing weaker.
Ahead is still another 50 miles :o

Remembering how good porcupine tasted the Young Dog tried his hand at this porcupine but to find himself with some painful quills in his cheek.
