3-3 1/2 stars. Audible escape. Elf. Shifter. Vampire. Slow burn. Strong h. Violence
Had some really great moments. Hard to connect with characters. I felt one minute the story had a certain “feeling”, then the next sentence someone would say or do something corny—almost like they were trying for humor, but it came away more “campy” to me. Ends in cliffhanger. May go in to next book, but no hurry
