Status Updates From Carrie

I hated the idea that there were no chapters to CARRIE, but going back and forth between the central story and news clippings/testimonies of the aftermath, I’m on a speed run.

She’s at Prom. She’s with Tommy. And I gotta know: WHAT. THE HELL. HAPPENS.

It’s kind of funny seeing how the writer’s style has developed into what we know now… all the little things and details he always brings up in his stories. I’m finally starting to see where it all comes from.

With this being my first King, I’m really surprised at how well he captures the mindset of female rage. After chatting with some people and looking at other reviews it seems like this is a really common realization so I understand my lack of originality here, but it’s been the main thing that I’ve been impressed by the entire time I’ve been reading.
