Really enjoying the poetry format of the book. Pattyn is in the FLDS with a drunk abusive father and a mother who submits. She ends up gaining the attention of a popular boy at school and explores her sexuality with him doing everything but sex until she is caught by her dad. Then she is sent away for the summer to live with her aunt J

Aunt J teaches her how to drive, ride a horse, and gives her freedom.
