Finishing this book today because i need to but the second half has been kind of torturous to read. I would like to know why Beaumont chose to organize this book as he has, reading Fanon against a select thinker (or in one case, film character) per chapter. It’s creating a lot of repetition and a greater sense of cohesion. Of course Fanon can be read with other thinkers—isn’t that how theory works?

Sometimes I have to laugh at how cringey certain lines are even though I know they’re meant to be empowering
