Almost finished and still no plot.

Okay, right now, this story resembles the early stages of an unhealthy relationship. If I didn't know this is "romance" I'd be expecting a murder sometime soon.

I know grown men aren’t supposed to cry, but it’s really hard to stand here and keep it all in.

I'm getting real tired of Dane's neanderthal persona. The way he's acting is insulting to Alex; he treats her like she's incapable of taking care of herself or even standing up for herself.

And on a side note: we're almost halfway through the story and there is no plot yet.

This body belongs to me, and I don’t need anyone, including Nolan, seeing it.

But it makes sense; only someone who has struggled with addiction problems can understand what the body and mind go through during recovery.

Or, you know, there have been extensive studies on addiction and recovery from addiction. I'd say the researchers know a thing or two.

I wince. He will never tell me it’s my fault, but it is. I stomped on his heart that day then expected him to be okay.

No, him taking drugs was his choice, not yours.
