So far it's quite interesting.

Love the banter between Darian and Marisa. And also, before when she was nearly mauled by beasts, I expected her to go back for him and Arrie, but when she didn't, I was pleasantly surprised. Realistically, no one would jump at the chance to save their friends from lethal beasts, especially when they've never held a knife that way before. Respect to the author.

Okay my plot twist radar is beeping. And it's telling me Marisa is from Carnelia, and she's a princess. If I'm right, I deserve a cookie. A big one.

"What is vexation?"
A small smile played on his lips. "Vexation is when a woman causes more grief for her man than can be reasonably tolerated."
"Oh."
Darian placed his hand against the tree and leaned in close, his eyes boring into hers. "Have you ever caused a man grief, milady?"
"Probably,"she answered, trying to hide a smile. "But the grief I cause is ALWAYS tolerable."
