love when books include musician characters who write their own songs, and the book includes a song the character “wrote” that is supposedly a hit, and we as the reader have to read the lyrics and pretend it isn’t terrible

everyone pls don’t judge me for rereading this truly horrible piece of writing, i’m feeling nostalgic for the summer of 2015 (when i was way too young to be reading this for the first time)
