This is my modern sensibilities talking here, but when the MC, unreliable though he may be, is glorifying the slaughter of hundreds to thousands of animals and taking most of the carcasses and just tossing them into the sea, I want to vomit. DNF at 27%. 7/16/26

I am loving how silly this book is, lol! I was worried it would be too silly, but it’s got a good balance I think. I can’t tell you how many times it has made me smile and chuckle while driving to work today. I hope it doesn’t go south.
