Why did the author ever create such great chemistry with Ramos and write the husband as such a dickhead, but write Shelby as deceptive and lustful, but also faithfully loving. She truly created a very flawed marriage but plans to keep them together anyway? Why? Don't get me wrong, Chris wasn't the absolute worst this book, but he wasn't great, and he sucked terribly in previous books. Why make us suffer eternally?

I really enjoyed this one. The plot was interesting, the pacing kept me entertained, and I adored the bonding that occurred between Shelby and Ramos. I love them together and they are my sole desire for this series. I've spent its entirety waiting impatiently for her to divorce Chris and for something to blossom with Ramos. But I'm beginning to realise that will never happen, and I'm awfully confused.
