The original quote is:
"Let us create in idea a State; and yet the true creator is necessity, who is the mother of our invention."
Although the context is to find justice within a state and by extension within the individual, the meaning still is close to the original quote.

Part 8 Education of the Philospher - completed

According to Thrasymachus, Glaucon and Adeimantus being unjust and seeming just leads to better individual rewards. Pascal's wager, but backwards.

According to Socrates (or plato) being just is not done for yourself but for the people around you.

Third book continues the censorship thing and asserts that both music and gymnastic creates harmonious soul suitable for leaders/rulers. Again, many inference to Indonesian government lol, but yeah the gold, silver, copper thing is introduced here. It's cool that Socrates stated that rulers and auxiliaries should not touch gold or silver though (for they are already one, perhaps?)
