Realizing I only have like 130 pages of actual biography left and I’m so sad because I love her. She had such an insane and hard life of familial civil war and then people pretending to be her murdered brothers and then she dies at 37.

Telling us there were 24 dishes served and then spending an entire paragraph listing 23 (some of them sounding absolutely RANCID “‘swan with chawdron’ (spiced entrails)”) only to tell us that the last dish was never described is cruel.

I’m so down this rabbit hole. I’ve been watching The Hollow Crown. I’m casting GoT characters on these real people. I’m rewatching The Tudors.

I keep just staring off into space thinking about the family tree.

I only read like twelve pages tonight and I’m not even to chapter four BUT I am past whoever owned this book last.

The only good thing Phillipa Gregory has done for this time period is give me actors to picture when I read the actual history books. (You will pry The White Queen tv show from my cold dead hands)
