Pg 16 - “three mathematicians whom Janina knew and respected.” - What are their names? How do you know Janina (Yonina) knew and respected them?
Pg 17 - “a professor … well known to Janina…he slit his wrists in his bathtub.” - what is his name? How do you know this?
Pg 18 - “the building’s janitor” - name and shame
The book bafflingly contains extreme minutiae and extremely vague statements.

Sadly, I am not sure if I am not engaged or intrigued so far with this story. It seems a bit far-fetched as someone stated in Book Club, read over the details, and trying to gather what it was like during this time with the Polish-Jews.
