This is slow going. I think that I was expecting more "discovering Paris" than details about aging and butchering meat. To be fair, I'm not very far into the book.
How do people manage to recall and write such detailed conversations? Not interviews but specific conversations with her husband -- or even the specific thoughts that she had while cleaning up after a dinner.

Admittedly, the descriptions of aging beef were a bit... But I am getting on with the reading because I am very curious about the various plats and Ann Mah's experience.
