The author spent close to 30 pages establishing that the oppression of women and nonwhite races is distinct from suffering (the example she used was a man breaking his leg skiing).

I don’t know why I expected to learn new information from a book on feminism written in the 70’s but I am disappointed so far.

I’ve only read the preface yet I know this will change me fundamentally

I reached this book’s most famous paragraph 😈
“Heterosexual male culture is homoerotic; it is man-loving.”

I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to read this book. Like yeah, it’s dense feminist theory, but that’s not as if I’ve never read dense feminist theory before, and much quicker.
