This audiobook genuinely has me tearing up at work but I’m loving it

OMG I have no idea how this Shirlee lady is alive! The bit about her throwing away the recipe box! The house itself could’ve been done more delicately in general, but what kind of person would do that without consulting the kids before? As if this lady was completely oblivious that recipes get passed down generations all the time?! I am FURIOUS.
