I neglected this book for nearly a decade, as it collected dust on my shelf between Darconville's Cat and Laura Warholic. My bad. Darkly hilarious, enjoyable Theroux-prose.

DNF - this is painfully boring and drags on and on. Also, if you’re gonna portray a women in adultery with you, at least try and give her a personality other than “not in love with her husband”… like, NO SHIT.

White men writing about white mean cheating on their white wives with with women is a white sub-genre I seem to like.
