I genuinely do not understand why nobody else has an issue with Martin Luther King Jr. using other people’s kids as ponds and furthermore, I do not respect the fact that they had to use children to win this battle.

All four of his children were sitting at home with their mother while other people‘s children were sitting in hog cages in the Birmingham fairgrounds. Their children are laying on the ground and they’ve been locked up for two weeks. They’re starving. They’re cold and parents are forced to watch from the outside in Martin Luther King Jr.’s kids are at home in Georgia.

I’m generally starting to get irritated with Martin Luther King here because once again he’s telling people oh don’t worry about your children. They’re doing this for free freedom. He felt way too comfortable using other people’s children as pawns for this game.

Something I’m kind of wondering is did Carolyn ever talk to Cynthia about what it was like going to the very first March in Birmingham? Like did she ever talk to her about what that traumatizing experience was to be among the first two experience bull Connor in his dogs like did they ever talk about that and if so, what did she feel about that?

They are so prejudice in the south they genuinely separate the chickens too. Only an act of true divinity can save whatever the hell is wrong with the southern hemisphere of our country.

Mind you, Europeans came into African countries andSTOLE these people. Racism is a disease in people who believe these ideologies must be put to death.

On top of that, it did not help that in their ear was George Wallace encouraging all of this madness.

Especially the resident in Birmingham genuinely feeling like not only was there a racial division and intimidation tactics completely acceptable. They fought anyone who came in and tried to hold up a mirror to what they were doing.

I’m playing the US government for allowing Alabama to believe that they are bigger than the program. Furthermore, this is exactly what I’m talking about. When I say the confederacy should have been punished after the Civil War because if you would’ve effectively punish the south for treason, then Alabama residence never would’ve felt comfortable enough to do anything like this.

It’s very easy to hear stories about people who lost their family due to hate crimes and say you’re sorry and move on and it’s very easy to say the words if you’re making a bigger deal out of this then you should win every day you’re seeing people die.

The black community has been so desensitized to seeing our people, beaten, bloodied and murdered that a child stated these words to another grieving child. And this is not something that only existed in 1960 Alabama. We’re still seeing today. He felt so comfortable to tell her she’s making a bigger deal out of this thing she should because nobody ever explained to them that when bombs go off people die.

I believe, sometimes that the only form of justice can be served through vigilante and through the public. I’m not saying that the congregation of the 16th St., Baptist Church should’ve went on a manhunt, but I am saying I would completely understand if they did.

We should never have to live in a world where young black women believe that the lives of their friends were worthless and did not mean anything due to our justice system failing. Furthermore, we also should not live in a world with naivety to believe that the police and the FBI and government officials are always going to come to our rescue.

"I can describe everything that happened," I told him,
"but I cannot tell you the FBI caught the guilty men and brought them to justice. I cannot tell you that officials in Birmingham honored the four girls by naming buildings after them. It seems the girls were just forgotten. Maybe nobody thought my friends lives were worth bringing the murderers to justice." Words that resonate within me.

These white men only getting $100 fine and a sentence of 180 days in prison when we all know damn well when a black man is caught holding a gun he’s allowed to have they would shoot him dead in the streets and if he doesn’t die by the bullets, they will drag him to jail and lock him up for 30 years.

The author of this book perspective about growing up with white people in her feelings towards white people are so vastly different from Lisa’s perspective of white people and how she used them, and I do largely think this is because the author of this book Carolyn actually faced real racial injustice, while Lisa only grew up in the world hearing about them.

“Two, four, six, eight! We don’t want to integrate!” This was being chanted by cars full of white pedestrians immediately following the bombing. This what they think of us.

They rob your wife, lynch your husband, rape your daughter, and beat your son, and bomb your church. When will their insatiable thirst for pain and suffering being inflicted upon black Americans finally be quenched.

Clap it up for her father because YES men should not be spanking. Their daughters and brothers should not be hitting their sisters young girls should never feel like it’s OK for a man to be putting their hands on them.

I think it also shows that hate and violence knows no bounds.

All of that limiting and enforcing still for evil to creep in. It’s a very devastating thing.

“ about the only place he permitted me to go alone and escorted by my brothers was church. It was a safe place, and I had certain responsibility that I escaped to church as often as I could.” This quote feels especially sad after reading the song of Birmingham poem about how so many black parents had to limit the width in which their children could go often times only allowing them to go to church.

What do you mean dynamite? Bob was only convicted of killing Denise. He killed three other people. Why didn’t he also get convicted for that that man should’ve got the electric chair anyway this is making me so angry right now.

1963 might be top five worst years in American history. Also new information the men who bombed that church were arrested the same day and then we’re immediately let out of jail after paying $100 fine.

I did not know who Edward Aaron was, but I just learned that in 1957 and by they, I mean the clan kidnapped him in castrated him in Birmingham, Alabama. Genuinely only evil things happen in Birmingham.
