Status Updates From State of Chaos (Collapse, #2)

I am vastly intrigued by this book, but it has its annoyances. Like when Cassie notes something & comments "Nice" or "Thanks for that." Those little comments get irritating & aren't necessary. But I cannot lose my interest in this book. It has pulled me in & I am deeply involved in reading it. I read the first book in a day, & this one will be read almost as fast. I really enjoy the action & intensity of the story.

I cannot believe how quickly things are moving. But the author wrote the changes well. I don't feel this is written badly, it just is happening all so fast, which is what it would be like in real life. *spoiler* I almost stopped reading when they cut her hair off. NOOOOOOO! And, I miss Chris. Where the hell is he?! I want to keep reading, but life is happening.

The quips in this book are so irritating, they disrupt the flow and give the read an adolescent pretense that in my opinion conflicts with the storyline and age of the characters.

19 and 28 year old gf/bf alone for months in an apocalypse and gf thinks it's inappropriate to share a bed because she's "not ready". I'm not suggesting it's necessary for the author to go all bow chicka but really she thinks she needs to sleep on the couch... I beginning to think me and the Collapse series are not a good fit.
