It is doubtful if shame can exist in the absence of sexual libido.... Yet again, I really like how not the narration, but it is the language itself that is disturbed. It moves quickly from sanity to addict's nightmarish vision of life. You can feel how everything is a nightmare and nothing absolutely makes sense and that's the exact point.
