I thought it was just a subtle nod to the lost library of Alexandria during an earlier characters' discussion. But now with Molly learning about the Gracian (Grecian?) and Chin (Chinese?) languages, I see it wasn't just an odd coincidence. Now I'm curious if the book's world is meant to be an alternate universe where magic exists... or if it's set up similar to Terry Brooks' Shannara series.
