This is an impressive book. I got so lost in it that I didn't even hear my dryers go off. I hope it stays this engrossing.

I have several books on the list, books that I told people I would read and write a review of. It came down to the easiest selective process that I know - eenie-meanie-minie-moe - and this one won out. I just started and I must admit that the first chapter is FULL of great detail, where you can almost feel the surroundings. Nice. :)

...oh. Well that was the most depressing thing I've read in a long time.

...how is this author not a household name yet? He is a masterful storyteller. I'm not sue where a lot of these storylines are heading yet or if they're even going to be relevant, but I get the feeling everything is being told for a reason. Scenes are gracefully written and it's almost scary how easy it is to visualize it all.

An elegant, really rather beautiful style of writing.
