Status Updates From The Book: A Global History

Interesting topics, but some essays are more sleep inducing than others.

Some of the authors in this book need to get over their chronological snobbery, clear dismissal of oral histories, and assumptions about the capabilities of people who are not cosmopolitan but rather lower class workers. Don't get me started on the dismissive tone used to talk about the Cherokee Syllabary.

Last semester of grad school. Let's do this! Then I can get back to writing several books.
