A lot of comments on how things have improved, but not how Thatchers policies or ideas actually improved these so called statistics. The authors seems to talk as though the conservatives have been in power the whole time and 'socialist labour' has had no impact on these great statistics, which he just throws out there in chapter 4.

"Nothing worked. The trains were always late." Wow, the tories have really improved everything! Trains never run late now! "My first ever publication was a letter... complaining about the.. price of shoes." This guy is selling himself.

I always knew Ferguson was a big Tory but hadn't appreciated quite how much until reading this kindle single. Enjoyable but highly skewed.

I couldn't get in to this book and so I adandoned it. I never used to do that; once I started a book I would force myself to finish, but too many times they didn't improve enough to make them worthwhile, and so as I've gotten older I've given myself permission to let 'em go and move on. So many books, so little time. Next!
