this is middle-grade level ‘boo’ level spooky but it’s at least super easy to binge

I was actually was mildly interested until the book decided to do a flashback chapter. They never work i’m sorry. I’ll forgive the author if there’s only like 3 in the entire book, but if it’s gonna be a regular thing it’s gonna get tiresome fast. I hated the flashback chapters in The Deep Sky and this one so far was also… bad
Flashbacks imo only work if they’re short moments integrated into a chapter
