Nagaraj’s lives inside this egg, somehow unable to burst open so that Creation can begin.

As Anne Smith wrote, “the world of Nagaraj is a world within a grain of sand.” If you read closely between the lines, you also can glimpse the deep lives of others.

This is getting tiresome now. It doesn’t have the same pace as RK Narayan’s more popular works like The Guide or Malgudi Days. But that makes it a peaceful read.
