Jaimee Ghost is 18% done

Not sure what turn this is going to take at the moment but I am very curious. Writing is...different. A lot of non-conjunctions, meaning, "I am" "we will" "they are" which is kind of bothersome. Also more typos than expected. And the characters speak with something like an immature voice to be seniors in high school. Nevertheless, I will power through.

Kim is 25% done

I'm both 25% and just plain done with this book. The final straw was this: "Mom thought driving was a useful skill I should learn early on in case of emergency. And so I did. Later on getting my license a year ago when we visited her in Idaho." Random tense changes within paragraphs and even within *sentences* are bad enough, but that passage didn't even make *sense*. Ugh. $3.99 is not worth any more of my time.

Kim is 21% done

: If I'd borrowed this book from the library, I would've long since quit reading and returned it. Now I'm trying to weigh the cost of what I paid for it against the worth of the time it would take to make myself slog all the way through it to the end. It's rife with grammatical errors, tense inconsistencies, missing words, poor/inconsistent characterization, and narrative holes, especially in terms of world-building.
