Well it’s certainly setting up an interesting finale. But overall, disappointing. Not bad but it felt rather like a rushed job. Ani is our villain and Omir surprisingly is one of her acolytes. So Daryan is not safe.

I’m not sure what it is but my interest started fading around page 200. I expected something more from the middle entry. Gannon obviously isnt our big bad, my guess is Ani, she’s acting rather strange. We’ll see how that goes.

I hope Jachad doesn’t die, he’s one of my favorites. I’m sort of glad we aren’t focusing on the Shadar currently, we do have bigger problems in Norland after all.

What the fuck does Eofar think he is doing? Yes, give the Emperor the only hope of protecting the Shadar, the people you supposedly care so much about. Whatever his plan may be, I don’t trust him one bit.

A poisoning of magic users? An interesting development. Bad for our heroes but at least its pushing them to action. Daryan and Isa are having some troubles but such is the fate of all couples.

I said I wanted a map in the last book, I got a map! Storywise so far, not hooked in but we did get a POV in Norland so that should be interesting. There’s political upheave and a new emperor so it should be interesting.

WOW. i mean, not wrong, he does....... but wow that burns.
(i wish i could fully give this book the attention it deserves but i seem to only be able to think minecraft during all this. oh well. all this time at home and not much reading for me.)
