This is the little novel that could. I'm getting awfully cynical about it because it's formatted like so many bad novels, but it keeps surprising me.

This is not exactly an elating character study or an emotional experience of any kind, but the financial aspect is simple and vulgarized enough to be fun to a person like me, who suck at math.

I didn't expect much out of this novel, but in all honesty, it's not bad. A financial thriller must be easy to follow and EAT WHAT YOU KILL is very straightforward.

Decent so far, but rather blunt. Not that it's graphic or anything, but you know where this is going. Not much time is lost painting the characters as complex human beings.

Haven't developed any sympathy for this character. Totally unlikable. All the movie quotes & references are annoying as fuck. So too the pop culture references & symbols of wealth strewn amongst the prose.
