I was excited to begin this book, previously read and enjoyed books 1 & 3 in the series. Both were engaging and enjoyable.

Unfortunately, this instalment did not fulfil my expectation, I found it lacking in suspense, twists or tension that made the other books so compelling. The pacing felt flat, and despite my best efforts to persevere out of loyalty to both the author and the series, I wish I had DNF.
