Status Updates From A Tryst with Trouble

This book just keeps getting worse and worse.

Slowly losing interest. I'm not reading this for the romance. Surprisingly, I just want the story to focus more on the murder mystery.

This has been an enjoyable read. I like both the lead characters and the story has been light and fun:)

Adding a new read to stop me contracting Sanderson burnout. It has been a fun start so far. I do love light-hearted romances and comedy based upon ridiculous misunderstandings and so this this has plenty of both:)

The first person: it bugs.

After the first page, I knew that I would love this story. Ms Everett's writing style is delicious!

Creepy peephole. Pages are running down. Will these star crossed lovers get some quality time together??? Don't cheat me, Everett.

If only Barbara could give Ben half the slack she gives her sister, Helen: duplicitous, conniving, immature, heartless.

A stupid, self-absorbed fool. She takes great sensitive umbrage, and rages at him: "You don't want me! You've made your position perfectly clear. You've had your fun, and you've no more use for me than...than your father has for a woman!"
(Her thoughts follow thus): I felt stupid. Used and humiliated. Ben had done a masterful job of making an idiot of me...(Nope. You already were an idiot.)

Now that's more like it. Nothing like a good honest fight / talk to clear the air. Meanwhile, cartoonist and blackmailer...

Misunderstandings. After what that witch said about him at the inquest, I expected more of her.
