A twist! I hadn’t seen it coming yet so obvious. I had guessed right who the mother is. An absorbing tale with the right amount of escapism for my trying days.

Not a fast-paced mystery, but Lord Julian's stories and light mysteries always capture my interest without boring me.
That's weird cause I usually hate slow-pace stories, while I find this series so relaxing and refreshing :-)

Went into a non-reading phase in the middle of this book – nothing to do with this book. It’s still very good – and now there’s a waitlist so who knows when I’ll get this finished!
