The physician:
He cannot see beyond what he has lost, and be grateful for what he was spared. I can only pray that, with time, he comes to understand the difference

So I shall never run again… Always be considered a hobbling, halting cripple.

The brake and the scarring have shortened your leg by at least an inch.
are you aware of it my Lord?

How could one not be. The word cripple is a mean word but it is truly descriptive. Why would I indulge in finding a mirror in this prose…

Hamlet was never meant to be a love story

Lubricious possibilities
A very Georgian term
Sporting in Hyde Park, Harry runs into his old mates who do not understand he is not there equal on two legs

They consummated

Music by Scarlotti, Vivaldi, and Corelli

He is out and about on crutches. His goal is to make himself hole so that he can carry Gus in his arms to a bed and make mad passionate love. What a nice and inspiring thought. Why this book came under my purview now, when I am declared a cripple is as the upstairs voice shouts do not turn away anything that will make you more complete

Neglected to mention when they were introduced that Harry’s dogs are English setters. Rest in peace Michelle Gilbert, you are not forgotten

Also the Earl has invited his three Italian musicians to attend him. They are now about to embark on a trio by Vivaldi. My favorite instruments: a violin, viola, and cello. I haven’t run into this before.

Now the layers of Georgian England are peeled away. In the letter sent to Augusta which for told her fears that her lovely sister Julia would remain in London and find a new fiancé, one that was whole and not crippled.

Meanwhile Augusta, the plain sister, is caring for him. Medicine in 1760s is not good. His leg is in a box, and he will not dance, ride, duel again, and will probably walk with a cane. So the stage is set for the unlovely sister, who is lovingly caring for our hero, to transfer his affections. I have no idea where this is going. But I will persevere

So it’s a Georgian romance that begins with the son of a Duke traveling north to propose to his lovely fiancé who is flighty beyond belief. She takes him for a ride in the morning fog, he, riding her father’s horse, who of course is recalcitrant.
He is dumped, and his leg is shattered. The flighty fiancé wants nothing more to do with him and Liz off to London.

He ogles her breasts and waist a lot. It comes off as unnecessary objectification and not romantic.

Despite cover, this is a thin, white Harlequin romance. Easy to listen to while concentrating on many other things.

Like a teenager’s beginner hr. Thin and light
