I don’t think this is a book that everyone has to read, but I do think it has topics that are important to discuss and to know, especially since it helps show that trans individuals are also human and makes them more relatable to people who otherwise would label them as “other.” I think knowing the history of these individuals is incredibly important for everyone to know.

This book just claimed that sexuality and gender do have overlap and we can’t assert that they are fully separate issues. So this book that I was fully excited for now has me not wanting to read it. (To be fair I am in an entirely terrible mood due to a variety of reasons, but still)
