Finally out of the discussion of “criticism” in all its forms, which entailed 13 pages plus whatever links I explored

Plugging along, reading a few entries and the links contained within, so it’s hard to say exactly how much I have read. This could be a lifetime task. Very educational

“Brahmins” led to “Genteel Tradition” and thence to Naturalism” and “Realism.” Then to “Romanticism,” but that will need to wait for later.

I wish I had started reading this when I acquired it many (!) years ago -- very useful!!

Into “B” words in reading from front to back, but continuing to skip ahead as words are referenced as “see also”

Continuing to dip in and out, reading entries as they seem interesting

Finished with front-of-book and back-of-book material; not sure what next; probably will skim and dip in and out

Almost through the timeline of literary history — suggests new adventures in reading!

Read preface and introduction, then went to the back of the book and am reading the "Outline of Literary History"; about 2/3 finished with that. Not sure what approach will be thereafter, as this certainly is a reference book, not a read-it-through book.
