the last part made everything make sense


i don't want to give away anything about the ending but trust me when i say everything will make sense towards the end

it's sad that the justice system is that fragile and weak like how come they didn't imprison someone like vee and how come they will allow someone like amber to be free. the justice system is all crooked and imperfect that only ghosts can avenge and get the right judgment/verdict/sentence and imprison the ones who are truly guilty and soulless and does not have an ounce of remorse in their soul

actually at first i was a bit confused what was the main point/theme of the story. but alas, the last part tied all the loose ends and made a sensible a pretty good ending one where everyone got the justice they long for and they deserve for especially ori

the walls around us but more of the walls around ghosts

i still wonder if ori's soul inhibited/possessed vee's body? or was the history got rewritten the day vee stepped in the aurora hills juvenile detention center

this will be a great film/tv adaptation!! the plot twist is so good.

honestly this a pretty good plot twist. of course the hints were there. of course i knew the girls were already dead but i never knew they were this powerful

i never heard of ghosts getting revenge for one of their kindest friend and inmate ahahah pretty good pretty good

ooohhh so that's why the last day of the girls in the juvenile detention center keeps on replaying like the groundhog day movie where the day keeps repeating itself until a guilty person trespass the facility and they will replace one of the dead girls.

can a ghost really hit a living person with a shovel and kill her? or was it miles all along?

when the juvenile girls said they all have the eternity to punish vee for what she did i literally had shivers down my spine

so even ghosts especially restless spirits go through their last day on earth again and again like it's some kind of rollercoaster they can't get off

relive their last day again and again

it's such a pity that even within the walls of the juvenile detention center, ori faced injustice once again. she's a victim yet again. her dreams and possibility of getting acquitted and free is crushed yet again.

oh nooo all of them can't seem to go to the afterlife because they faced a wrongly death

i already had a hunch that amber did it the second she was assigned in the kitchen but how else can you poison every girl but by food

okay so the body count was 42 so amber must have poisoned herself as well. it's just sad ori also died. she didn't deserve it. after all she was the only person good to amber. she was the only person who treated her right and treated her like a person and talked to her like a person

so amber did become a ghost spookyyy a haunted detention center

omggg did amber escape? omg omggg

so they all became ghosts


so in chapter 1, when the girls said they went wild, was it because they finally felt free when they died and turned to ghosts? sksksks goosebumps

it must suck when all the other girls in the detention center dont pay attention to you unless you're about to get your freedom i feel pity for amber :(( whether outside or inside these walls, she felt alone and unloved and isolated

this is not to say that juveniles do not have remorse and understanding/discernment of their crimes but it's just a reflection of how outer appearance, age and personality can fool/trick us into thinking these kids are innocent and were only framed up

this explores the good and bad side of people. that our extreme side can make us appear as a good daughter, good friend, and good sister but opposite extreme side can also show our extreme violent tendency which is committing murder

We liked to talk of failed justice. To expose all the cracks in the system: How many times it had treated us and those close to us unfairly; how many times it had proven itself rigged. We were told that everyone faced equal treatment, but we knew the truth. We only had to look around and see who was here.

the irony of failed justice but then somehow with all these violent and darkminded girls getting locked up for their crimes seems to be fair and square

that theyre better off in prison because their families and the society no longer welcomes them with open arms because their crimes are forever etched on their characters/personality


The juvenile correctional system could let us out into the world, but it could not control who would be out there, willing to claim us.

Or that eye could belong to the woman who carried us for nine months, who labored for fourteen hours, who was sliced open with a C-section to give us life, and now wished she never did.

a detention center is just as dehumanizing as a real prison. it breaks my heart that teenagers are treated like this when some of them are innocent like ori

losing your sole purpose inside the prison must feel like stripping your freedom all over again. it must have suck for amber

i feel like this would be so cool getting a film adaptation especially the instant parallels and changing of environment to indicate the past and future

who would have thought even in prison you need to fit in T_T
