read a señora's review and she disliked mal/max for being this fake "i hate the government" "i'm not a criminal" guy and then actually committing multiple crimes and tricking the "little guy." i agree with her, i feel so bad for nathan and i hate someone who profits off of someone else through trickery. like boo, you're lame!

although i believe authors should be able to write characters of color into their stories, some people write from places of internalized beliefs and stereotypes. one of these people is john grisham. please dont write Black characters señor, you don't know how to.

also the main character, Mal/Max changes his voice and the repeated phrase is "slow and deep" and i just KNOW barack obama was the reference for that
