The book turned much more gruesome. The violent moments are still sparse, but extremely grim and hideous. In fact the story became so disturbing it's hard to enjoy reading it.

Quite a good horror story so far. Not particularly gory, but disturbing nevertheless. The plot is rather complex for this kind of book, but so far everything is consistent and makes sense.
