Status Updates From Love, Like Water

I'm not sure I will finish this, I have no idea how I gave it 4 stars 7ish years ago 😒🤔

LOL, finally a realistic marriage ;-)

What?! All this drama and now he says he didn't do it? Jesus!!

“Just tell me this, Eli—if it really doesn’t work out with Joshua, is there a chance for me?”

I'm all for my main romance couples, but damn, Jack's a doctor!! Hell yeah, he should get a chance with our cowboy!

I love me so drama, but that's a bit heavier than expected. It's great, though. Definitely not the fluffy romance I was afraid it'd turn into.

I really wonder what kind of drama is gonna happen to our guys (and a tiny part of me hopes that *some* drama is gonna happen ;-)

The characters are all amazing here, but Josh and Eli's budding romantic relationship is pretty awkward.

'Eli rocked back and forth on the chair’s back legs, thinking about the ranch, and Josh, and tomorrow’s work, and Josh. After a while the light went on in Joshua’s room, then out again, and with a sigh, Eli hoisted himself from the chair and meandered across the yard to his own house and his own bed.'

Hurt/Comfort on a ranch, here I come!! Wheee!!!

“Cat’s yours, son. Whatever you want.”
“As long as you clean its litter box yourself,” Eli added.
The hands laughed. Joshua smiled at Eli, who looked startled a moment, then grinned back.'

'... each time he’d left, he’d put his hand on Joshua’s and said in his soft voice, “Y’all feel better and come home to us soon,” and Joshua had felt the warmth of caring in that small gesture.'

This is spectacular! I'm having a love affair with this book! It's so good!

Eli shook his head. “I dunno, Tuck. I don’t know how to handle people—all I know is horses.”
“Then treat him like a goddamned horse.”

LOL, I love that answer. So obvious ;-)

Sarafina has that lovely 'I'll make you gain weight or die trying' attitude. You can tell she'd even go as far as spoon feeding him :-)

The characters are great. Down to earth and natural. I love that.

This is REALLY good so far.
