The only political parties that survived untouched were those who never warranted an invitation to the meeting in the first place...Seizing an opportunity to assert themselves, the BNP and the UK Independence Party joined forces and formed the British Independence Party. They weren’t voted into power as much as they took power, and after that, there was no going back.

Any political party with Members of Parliament elected to the House of Commons was required to attend, and they were all evaporated in the Guy Fawkes inspired explosion. The entire Palace of Westminster was razed in a split second and a cloud of dust.
