I don’t care how much my dress costs, what the ring looks like or what color the flowers are. Today is for me and Jack. All I care about is that those hazel eyes are holding mine. All I care about is this joy between us, this joy that is ours alone. The joy that we are choosing to share with those we love, as we are wed in truth.

“Right. You wanted me so I could pay for your dream,” he spat out the words. "You made me fall in love with you, but it was all a lie. You never wanted me.” “Jack, that’s not true!" He glared at me, his eyes dark. His voice was full of venom. “You used me. All you ever wanted was money. I thought you were different, but you are just like everybody else.”

I was away from my home, my friends, and my family because a secretary released a picture . I was here because Jack wanted me here and no secretary was going to stop me. “I want to see Jack. He’s the reason I’m here and it feels weird sleeping at his house and eating his food, but never seeing him.”

Nobody’s perfect, but nothing would ruin this perfect moment. I don’t know when I fell asleep, but I know I was in his arms, listening to his heartbeat . I was sure I was going to wake up and have this all just be a wonderful dream, but even if it was, it was a dream I would never forget.

“This is going to be the best adventure,” I said slowly, looking out onto the blue ocean. I would never get the chance to go someplace like this again. Not on my salary. I decided right then that I was going to be fearless while I was here. This was going to be the best vacation in the history of vacations. There was nothing I wasn’t going to do.
