Status Updates From Martora

Already hate Brooks….the one “good cop” 🙄 already out here saying shit like “I’m responsible for here and whether she likes it or not, for her”

Ugh fuck off with this bullshit 🖕🏻he has had ONE conversation with her. 😒

Third update in less than an hour but I have to….the dialogue/writing is….not great.

“A chore he hated more than rat poison”
“The daffodils crowded together in sidewalk tubs, yellow as sticks of butter.”

Starting to see that my hunch was right about this type of book 🙈

Couple early thoughts:
-it’s giving corny procedural and I LIVE!
-Elizabeth is so smart that I’m not sure how she’s gonna develop. She literally knows everything about everything and we aren’t even halfway through. She’s boring at this point because there’s absolutely no grit. Hoping this changes. :/

Brooks and Abigail finally due to the deed. Afterwards she reveals to him that she had an idedic memory and that she thought she had to be a doctor growing up. He tells her he wanted to be wolverine. They fall asleep and in the morning she makes pancakes. She did not perform any of her nighttime security checks which will definitely become an issue
