This book is gonna take me a lot longer to read than I’m used to, I can tell. So far I’m 50 pages in and have already had 4 POVs, none of which really seem to be connected yet, so I’m struggling to tie it all together in my mind. I find myself trying to read and enjoy this but I have to Google things constantly. Cultural terms totally get that. Also…author puts TWO notes of loving GOT by Martin and wanting to write like that. So after the THIRD story start someone is poisoned while exchanging offices of power…yeah.
