Ok does every character NEED to have met each other before Warm Bodies? Was the way they met in the book not profound enough? The trauma and forgiveness that led to Nora and Julie’s friendship wasn’t enough, she had to have come across her as a kid and saved her? R can’t have just fallen in love based on Perry’s memories, he had to meet Julie when she was 12 and have her spark his love for life? Kinda hate it

Man I really don’t like the choice to have Nora and M like having always known each other. Like it doesn’t make sense for either of their characters for them to have such a history together it kinda makes some of their growth in the original feel meaningless if M always knew how to love a human woman and Nora always knew zombies were people. Isn’t it enough for them to meet and fall in love at the end?

Technically my volume 1 of warm bodies is a special edition with the prequel and I could have chosen that edition on Goodreads but Goodreads would not have counted it as two book so yeah.
Also will try to do a proper review for warm bodies cause I absolutely loved it, Just need time to write one properly.

But even then, alone in the driest desert, she knows that a rain will fall. It may be a long time, but not forever. Nora knows better than most that nothing lasts forever. Life doesn’t, love doesn’t, hope doesn’t, so why would death or hate or despair? Nothing is permanent. Not even the end of the world.

“Because Mom and Dad are just people. Same as Auntie Shirley, Evan, anyone. Just because they made us doesn’t mean they are us. They’re mean and stupid and we’re smart and cool, and we don’t have to let what they do decide how we feel.”
