This book has a cool cover, and promising premise, and it is set in my hometown. What's not to love about it? Well, that would be the weak dialogue, the piecemeal plot, and the horribly undeveloped characters who it is impossible to feel empathy for. I really wanted to like it, I did--but I could not.

OK, no 21-year old screams at her mother that she is still a virgin in front of her whole family. And no 19-year old says, "where in the blazes were you?" Makes us from Cincinnati sound really dumb. Less than 40 pages of this nonsense--can't quit now!

I sure do hate these whiny, undeveloped characters. I am now more than halfway through and I can't decide if I should quit it or keep suffering through it to see if anything good happens to these horribly droll people.

This book tries to be creepy but it just isn't. The dialogue is too weak to create any suspense or emotions from the characters--they all sound exactly the same. I am halfway through the book and seriously considering quitting it. I really want to like it though because I think it could be good.

This book reads like it was written for a high school creative writing class. Zero (or very poor) character development and a plot that seems to be going nowhere. Only because I think it might have potential to get good am I still reading it.

So far soo good! Very interesting, I like how she weaves the tale back and forth from character to character. And I'm sure at some point there all gonna connect in some creepy way. Its also interesting reading a novel from a local author telling a story that happens so close to home. Adds a nice touch.
