I had a cat fight back in 8th grade - it was not pretty, especially when it's with your best friends. 😅 At least, I had the weekend to cool off, but it was fun to see how the boys in our class were choosing sides. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I forgot how vicious twelve year olds' words can be. The sheer need to be worthy of your supposed friend's time or judgment. 🥲

Being in seventh grade was like climbing a smooth rock face with no
safety ropes.
Every action mattered. Every choice meant something.
Be too independent, and you’re a loner.
Be too funny, and you’re annoying.
Be too obvious, and you’re obnoxious.
Be too oblivious, and you’re plain old stupid.

Nothing has changed since seventh grade. 😔
