Supporting Characters-> When I read the book on Marie Antoinette, she is a very brave women. She respected her husband and loved her children. She has very strong thoughts and ideas which can be very bossy, but has a lot of wisdom. She was a very lovable person and was on the French Court at age 15. Even though she had a lot of bad qualities, she was a very brave and strong queen.

Visualize->I just read a chapter on Queen Maria Theresa. She is a girl who got crowned queen at 23 yr. old. She was always on the field during wars and always fought for her country. I can visualize her saying to fight for Austria (her country).

Making Connections-> This book is a lot of history of women that ruled their own country. I just read a chapter of Catherine de' Medici, and I made a text to text connection. A couple of months ago I watched a show called Reign. It is a historical drama flim on the Queen Mary of Scotland, and King Francis of France. King Francis's mom is Queen Catherine de' Medici so I was able to see a little of her character, too.
