Status Updates From The Queen's Librarian

I’m surprised I’ve read this far, but I feel committed despite the clunky prose and slow-moving story. It's a quick and easy read that isn't engaging me on anything more than a surface level, but it's okay as a summer distraction.

... and his hair was apparently doing its very best to escape his head, sticking out every which way and making Lucas distractedly wonder if he'd had to fight his way through a nest of hedgehogs intent on sharing styling tips to get here.

Bahahahaahahaha, the humour in this is great.
The smexy times are non-descriptive, but the characters and the story make up for it<3

"Why, Nan," Laurie said wryly, "I'm touched."
"I've been saying so for years," Nan told him blithely then glared him into cowed silence before dismissing him again.

*snort* This is so much fun, I've been giggling and laughing like a loon thoughout this.

Ok, so I apparently previously read more than half of this book without ever shelving it.

I don't understand how if this language has been lost for so long Lucas is so certain he knows the right pronunciation?
