i can't get enough of this book, its so cute. it does feel like the author is inserting herself (or her thoughts?) into the book but otherwise I really like it.

He’d had all these words for emotions before, but he hadn’t trusted that he actually felt them. But there he was, looking back at himself, with pajamas.

Sloth pajamas.

He wrapped his arms around himself and squeezed because he was just so happy. But he would be even happier if he was in the other room with Evan. His friend.

He was going to treasure today for the rest of his life.

“Oh!” All of the bubbles were back. “I’m glad you like my chest. I can take off my pants, too!”
Evan gestured to a door on the wall with a round handle then left the room in what seemed like a hurry. Maybe he was hungry.

Wow... I'm not even 1/4 way through, and I'm loving this. It is so dang emotional... my eyes are tearing up.

Why is it in the 3rd person ?! :( also the writing is not my fave but the characters so far are intriguing… hmmm

Is it just me or do you also sometimes start a book with a clear picture of the characters and what they're going to be like, only to find out that they're actually completely different from what you expected and now you're not so sure whether you really think that's so great? Just me? OK, then.
