My friend did the narration for the audio book, so I'm listening to this while I'm running :)

Who’da thunk Seattle would make such a good setting for some hard-boiled detectiveness?

Good pacing in this book...it moves better than me on a dance floor circa 2005 (though that’s a low bat, I guess, given that I moved goofily and white dudedly; still, I did a mean worm).

Well, well, well Mr. Plume...you certainly have my attention.

The good kind not the “watch me do embarrassing reenactments of your dialogue for my husband” kind.

I got up and kept my gun aimed at the floor, trigger finger along the slide; pointing a firearm at the unknown is a bad habit to get into.

"What should we drink to?"
He clinked his bottle against mine. "To assholes," he said, grinning.
"To assholes?"
"Without them we never get to find out who our real friends are.”

"Fuck you", he said

"Under no circumstances."

I enjoyed it! It's gritty and very well-written but needs better editing.

I'm pleasantly surprised because this turned out to be quite the page-turner!

I'm liking this one.

This book has "ruined" my (potential although never a guarantee) productivity this weekend,and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

I have things I should be doing, but I can't put this down.

I'm not an expert on writing. I can't pick out things much beyond grammar, spelling and awkwardness. But there is a kind of writing that seemingly effortlessly draws the reader along with a story that flows. This book has that, and I'm already hooked.
